A TREE IS FOR LIFE: Feature (90”)

Campaigns - plant trees.jpg

Join a stunning global odyssey spanning 370 million years and six continents, as we meet the remarkable trees which have shaped our existence, and the inspirational people ensuring their survival.

We’ll reconnect with our roots, exploring the magnificence and magnanimity of trees and our relationship with them, physically, historically, spiritually, ecologically. We’ll rediscover just how much we rely on trees, which have fuelled civilisation with fire, food and shelter, through to medicines and music.

We’ll meet the people fighting for trees – from the great seats of learning, to indigenous people power in the Amazon – and the scientists forecasting our devastating future if trees continue to disappear at the current rate.

Importantly, we’ll discover why trees are critical to our survival, and why our choices are just as critical to theirs.

WHY TREES MATTER: Series (4 x 1 hr)

WHY TREES MATTER delves deeper into the science and ecology. Across four episodes,  through the elements of Earth, Water, Air and Fire, we rediscover how trees enabled our very existence and continue to be essential to human survival, from the air we breathe, to the roof over our heads and food on our table. And as deforestation, species loss and climate change reach the point of no return, we examine our own behaviours and choices and the alternatives and actions needed to redress the balance of nature.

TIMBRE: Single (1 hr)

TIMBRE explores ethically sourced and sustainable wood instruments, and the impacts for music and forests. As traditional timbers become endangered, are artists aware of ethical sourcing, who’s ahead of the curve, and does using sustainable wood compromise music, or will it mark a new moment for the industry – and forests?

SWAMP: VR
